A privacy-first home companion that helps older adults live on their own for longer.
Sengira uses discreet sensors, with no cameras, to learn daily routines and alert caregivers when something changes. Wanile engineered the platform behind it, from proof of concept to MVP.

The brief
Families want older relatives to stay independent, but they need to know when something is wrong. Sengira needed a dependable platform that turns sensor signals into timely, trustworthy alerts, without cameras.

What we built
Home-hub integration with Home Assistant and MQTT for the sensors in each home.
An event pipeline on NestJS and Fastify with BullMQ queues.
Time-series storage in PostgreSQL with TimescaleDB.
A caregiver mobile app built with Expo.
51 safeguards, each stress-tested.
The hard partConsumer sensors do not expose every signal the same way. Fall events from the Aqara FP2, for example, are not visible through HomeKit, so the device layer had to be planned sensor by sensor.
