Case study 01 · 3D configurator · E-commerce · PackagingBPAK

A custom 3D packaging studio, built in-house instead of licensed.

BPAK sells custom packaging. Wanile built its e-commerce platform and a 3D configurator where buyers size, style and price a pack in real time, with a live 3D model and its dieline.

The brief

BPAK's buyers needed to see their pack before ordering. The first plan was to license a third-party 3D editor. We recommended building our own engine instead, because it fit BPAK's products better and took a recurring licence off the table.

What we built
A 3D configurator inside BPAK's store: size, material, finish, paper weight, custom features and quantity, with the price updating live.
A live 3D preview the buyer can rotate, with a one-click switch to the flat dieline showing cut and fold lines.
25 pack designs modelled in Blender from BPAK's own dielines: 14 Card PAKs and 11 Box PAKs.
Hang-tag and insert options: 9 for Card PAKs and 7 for Box PAKs.
A full e-commerce flow with Stripe checkout.
